10 Signs Your Body Is Dehydrated

10 Signs Your Body Is Dehydrated

1. Dry Mouth

When your body doesn’t have enough water, it produces less saliva. This can make your mouth feel sticky, dry, and uncomfortable, and may also cause bad breath or difficulty swallowing.

2. Dark Yellow Urine

One of the earliest signs of dehydration is urine that is dark yellow or amber. Healthy, well-hydrated urine is usually pale yellow. The darker the urine, the more concentrated it is, meaning your body is conserving water.

3. Headaches

Dehydration can reduce the amount of fluid around the brain and decrease blood flow, which may trigger headaches or even migraines. Drinking water often helps relieve mild dehydration-related headaches.

4. Dry Skin

Without enough water, your skin loses moisture and elasticity. It may feel rough, flaky, tight, or appear dull. Severe dehydration can also make the skin less elastic when gently pinched.
